Paying for Rental Cars and Settings Up Direct Billing
Rental car payment policies differ from flights and hotels. This guide will teach you how to pay for rentals car with Nextravel.
Car rental agency policies generally require the credit card used for booking to be presented upon pickup. Accordingly, it is not possible to pay for rental cars using a company card directly in NexTravel, unless the traveler has their own company card.
To pay for rental cars, you have two options: pay with a personal card or set up direct billing with the car rental agency.
Paying for Rental Cars with a Personal Card
It’s important to ensure that the traveler has access to the card used for booking at the time of pickup. To book travel on a personal card, add the personal credit card details into NexTravel and select that card at the time of booking.
The credit card will need to be presented in order to pickup and pay for the car. After the trip the final receipt can be submitted for reimbursement.
Paying for Rental Cars with Direct Billing
To guarantee payment on the company card, the best option is to set up a Direct Bill account with the car rental agency. Once you have a corporate account set up, you can add your information into NexTravel, enabling direct payment.

Note: A single corporate account number may be used across partner companies National, Enterprise and Alamo.
When you sign up and sign a contract with a car rental agency, you will be given an account number and discount code.
Add your account number into the Direct Bill section under Company Preferences in NexTravel.
Next add your car discount code under the Discount Codes section.
Once direct billing is set up, you can simply select Direct Bill at the time of booking.
