How to Select and Improve Seats on Flights
Overview
Depending on your airline status, there are a few different ways you can select and upgrade your seats. This article will help you understand your options.
Choosing Seats
If the fare class that you’ve chosen allows you to choose seats, you can do so during check out, or you can edit your seats after booking by pulling up the trip itinerary and choosing ‘Edit’ for your seat selection.
Free Upgrades
If you have airline status, first make sure that your airline status codes are entered under ‘Preferences’ in NexTravel.
To select your seat, you can do so at checkout, or after booking by editing your seat preferences as described above.
Paid Seating Upgrades
If you would like to pay for seating upgrades, you can do so with the airline after booking your flight in NexTravel. Note that paid seat upgrades cannot be processed through NexTravel.
Airlines typically offer the option to upgrade your seat through their website directly or by calling customer support.
Auto-Improve
NexTravel’s Auto-Improve feature can update your seat selection for you if the seat you select upon booking is not your preference.
To use Auto-Improve, first make sure that your seat preferences are entered in the ‘Preferences’ section of NexTravel.
If you’re unable to select your preferred seat at checkout, select the ‘Auto-Improve’ box and we’ll automatically move you to a better seat if one opens up.
Please note Auto-Improve selection cannot be undone after checkout is complete so only check this box when you would like NexTravel to move your seat on your behalf.
