This article will help you understand how to update information on your airline ticket.
Name Mismatch
If you notice your name appears to be mixed up on your airline ticket, it is most likely the result of a data formatting error in the airline’s system.
The name you use in your NexTravel profile is sent to the airline directly when you book. However, since each airline has a different system for processing data, there are occasionally errors in formatting. For example, you may notice your first and middle name are combined or reversed on your ticket (i.e. Johndoe or Doe John, instead of John Doe).
This should not cause issues when traveling as airlines are aware that these issues commonly occur across booking platforms. You do not need to update your name, though you can do so through the airline if you choose.
Missing TSA Precheck or Loyalty Numbers
When you book with NexTravel, the TSA Precheck and loyalty numbers listed in your profile are automatically sent to the airline. However, occasionally the data is processed incorrectly by the airline’s system.
In order to receive your loyalty rewards and TSA Precheck benefits, you will need to update your information with the airline.
Making Changes
If you would like to change the name on your ticket or enter TSA/loyalty numbers, you can do so in advance of your flight directly through the airline’s website.
If you don’t have an account with the airline, you can use your order number to search for your flight on the airline’s website and update the information on the ticket.
It is sometimes possible to add loyalty numbers upon check in. However it is up to to the airline or hotel, so we recommend making any changes right after your reservation is confirmed in order to avoid getting disappointed.
