Overview
If you cancelled a flight, this article will help you locate and apply your flight credit.
How to Find Your Flight Credit
If you cancelled through the airline and have an unused ticket that’s eligible for rebooking, the airline will have the credit in their system. If cancelled through NexTravel, we will show the value of the credit in your ‘settings’ section.
In both cases, the actual credit is not stored in NexTravel but in the airline’s system. Sometimes the airline will send us a reimbursement/credit ticket which we can display in your ‘settings’ under ‘unused tickets.’
Even if you do not see a credit displayed, your credit is still on file with the airline. In order to access it you can call the travel support number in your trip itinerary or at www.nextravel.com/support.
How to Use Your Flight Credit
To apply your flight credit you will need to book directly through the airline. Our travel agents can do this for you if you call the travel support number in your trip itinerary or visit www.nextravel.com/support.
If you are new to NexTravel and have existing credit with an airline, our travel agents will still be able to access it and apply it to a new reservation for you. Please ensure that you have the airline confirmation number when you contact support.
Unfortunately it is not possible to apply your flight credit through NexTravel—No third-party booking tool can do this online at this time.
Note that after you’ve applied your flight credit, it may still be displayed under ‘unused tickets.’ If you wish, you can remove a ticket that you've rebooked. Go to your settings, select ‘unused tickets, check the box next to the ticket and then click "delete".
How to Change the Traveler, Date or Route on an Unused Ticket
Depending on the airline and fare rules for your ticket, you may or may not be able to make certain changes to your unused tickets, or you may not be able to rebook at all. Additionally, the costs to make changes can vary widely.
Some unused tickets can be transferred to another traveler, some allow route changes and some allow data changes.
To find out what changes are allowed for your unused ticket, contact NexTravel support.
